Crisis, What Crisis?

More history, less hysteria

Blame Farmers

Farmers, once the backbone of the Canadian economy and a moving force in Canadian politics, now represent only 1.8 % of the labour force.  So it comes as a big surprise to learn not only that it was farmers who torpedoed Maxime Bernier's Conservative leadership bid but that they did it to save their supply-side egg and dairy sinecures from Mad Max's libertarian hatchet.  They're wily ones, these farmers—blue on the outside but Red on the inside.
