Thanks to the CBC, we have this morning learned about two important developments in the climate crisis. The first is that, less than 24 hours after Donald Trump announced that he would pull the U.S. out of the Paris accord, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has given him a good tongue-lashing. "We are deeply disappointed," the PM told Trump in a personal call. Even more ominous is the news that a methane "blowout" occurred 12,000 years ago in the Barents Sea off Norway. "It must have been a catastrophic event," said Norwegian professor Karin Andreassen. Or, to quote Trump, a total disaster.
