Crisis, What Crisis?

More history, less hysteria

Not a Complete Disaster

Hold on a minute.  Is that real political analysis?  Writing in today's Washington Post, policy wonks David Gordon and Michael O'Hanlon concede that, although Donald Trump has taken "a shellacking" recently, his actual foreign policy "isn't a complete disaster."  His advisers are "as good as any in modern U.S. history."  The cruise-missile attack on Syria was proportionate.  Trump has handled the North Korea crisis adroitly.  NATO's Article 5 is not in doubt.  "This president is not exactly our cup of tea," say Gordon and O'Hanlon.  "But he has shown some openness to advice, rationality and dialogue."
