Crisis, What Crisis?

More history, less hysteria

The Bee News

As many as 60,500 bees were mysteriously "killed" over the Fourth of July weekend in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.  Wayne Andrews, vice-president of the state beekeepers' association, called the massacre "the biggest bee kill" he's ever seen, prompting the the Department of Agricultural Resources to launch a full investigation.  Meanwhile, over in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan, homeowner Mike Tingley burned down his own garage while trying to evict some bees with a smoke bomb.  Tingley is relieved that "everyone is safe and that's the main thing."  No word on whether his bees survived the inferno, or whether he is a suspect in the Rehoboth case.
