Crisis, What Crisis?

More history, less hysteria

It's Not Easy Being Gore

Al Gore must be glad to be back among obliging journalists in North America, for he's had a tough time with the iconoclasts at London's Spectator.  Gossip columnist Steerpike mocked his claim that the Brexit vote was caused by climate change.  Ross Clark asked him to comment on the sea-level research of professor Shimon Wdowinski, prompting the testy response, "Never heard of him—is he a denier?"  In a chirpy interview with James Delingpole, James Lovelock speculated that only "giant corruption" could explain the madness of Britain's green policies.  The Spectator is onto something.  Messianism is an "obstacle to serious debate" about climate.
