The weather gods have blessed Canadians with the warmest late-September weekend on record, allowing climate skeptics and radicals one last opportunity to curse one another from their convertibles and kayaks. But for those of us endowed with the gift of seeing cosmic forces at work in the everyday, it's also an opportunity to bid a fond farewell to one of our own, a true pioneer in climate prognostication.
